UHS MDCAT syllabus, paper pattern, all information 2020

MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) is conducted each year. Anyone who wants to take admission in MBBS (Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery) must at least bypass this test. If you need to take admission to any non-public or public college which is imparting the MBBS program, you need to clear this test.

UHS MDCAT Test All Information

The students who have low marks need to get at least 90% result in MDCAT to easily get admission in any university. The test focuses on four major subjects which are biology, physics, English and chemistry. The purpose of the test is to check the ability of the students who want to take admission in Bachelors of medicine and surgery (MBBS) or Bachelors of Dental surgery (BDS). The expected date for the test of MDCAT 2020 by the admitted universities is 9th August 2020.

Every Year University of Health and Sciences (UHS) conducts this test for the private and public medical colleges of Punjab, federal city and AJK. The candidates who have not appeared in this test cannot apply to any college or university providing medical education. If they do apply their forms will be rejected.

Eligibility criteria for MDCAT

UHS MDCAT Syllabus 2020

The paper of MDCAT contains 200 marks, divided into four major subjects Biology, Physics, English, and chemistry. The complete paper will be objective. There will not be any subjective part of the paper. The paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions. Every question will be of 1 mark each, a total of 200 marks.
There will be no negative marking in MDCAT
The syllabus will comprise from F.sc (premedical)/HSSC book. So the students who want to prepare for the test should prepare it from F.sc official books. There are also different model papers and key books provided by different publishers. These model papers have solved sample papers from F.sc pre-medical books. But the advised curriculum is best for preparation.

Subject wise division of marks and questions

  • Biology = 80 MCQs
  • Chemistry = 60 MCQs
  • Physics = 40 MCQs
  • English = 20 MCQs
As biology is the major subject in MDCAT it has 80 marks out of 200, Chemistry has 60, Physics has 40 and for English, there are twenty marks.

Biology is the most important subject so prepare for it, first of all, those 80 marks are the main pillar in this test then chemistry with 60 marks and physics and English comes next. But it depends on the personal choice of every student that how they want to prepare for the test.

  1. The duration of the test will be 120 minutes (2 ½ hours)
  1. There might be NO NEGATIVE MARKING within the testage limit
  1. There is no age limit to appear in the MDCAT test.

How to apply for MDCAT test

  1. Any candidate who wants to apply for the MDCAT test can only apply from the given link on the UHS website
  2. Candidates can in the simplest way apply through use of a laptop and desktop. They can not apply the use of a mobile.
  3. On clicking the check-in button, a simple shape will appear. Candidates are to fill this form to proceed.
  4.  After filling the shape candidate can be asked to add his/her colored photo. The photo should not be more than 2 months and ought to be much less than 2mb in size.
  5. Then-candidate will require to click on submit
  6. When successfully registered you will be provided a serial no, save that serial no because it will be used to sign in again.
  7. After completing the process you will get an application form that you can download and print.
  8. Fill the form very carefully providing all the details as asked on the back of the form.
Fee Submission

1. After the successful submission of the form, you will have to visit any BOP branch and submit 1300 rupees in the MDCAT account. 

2. After a deposit of 1300, the bank will put a stamp on your application form, which is proving your fee submission. 

3. After submission of the fee, the candidate might be contacted within seventy-two hours and might be furnished and admittance card. 

4. The candidate also can download his admittance card from the distinctive website.

Arrive at center sharply at 10am. Don't be late for the test or else you won't be allowed in the test center. Always recheck your center two or three times to be sure where it is. Arrive half an hour before the test, so you can enter the exam room easily. 

If you are caught cheating in an exam or using any unfair means. Your paper will be canceled and you can get imprisonment for up to 3 years. So don't take any unnecessary papers or sheets in the examination hall.
